2nd Year Maths Go Quest Trip 

In October 2023 Ms McGarrity, Ms Nolan and Mr Flood took 2nd year students on a problem solving trip to Go Quest in Dublin as part of our Maths week activities. 



Lough Key Zipit Adventure

3rd years had a wonderful day out when they visited ZipIt  at Lough Key Forest Park  last year. The students enjoyed the lovely walks around Lough Key, braved the many high wire and ziplines and enjoyed a lovely lunch with their classmates in the beautiful forest surroundings.



Boda Borg Maths Trip 

3rd year students visited Boda Borg and Lough Key near Carrick on Shannon last year as part of Maths week.  Students had to work collaboratively and use their problem-solving skills to solve various types of quests. The quests were a mix of physically and mentally challenging activities. The students also got time to enjoy a lovely walk in the forest. 




School Wellbeing Day 2022

The entire school enjoyed a Wellbeing trip to Shannon River Adventure Centre in Rooskey, Co Roscommon during the last term of 21.22. It was  great day out where students got to enjoy Kayaking, Mud slides, Archery, Wall climbing and much more. It was a lovely opportunity to get outdoors in the fresh air and learn new skills with our friends.

Art Trip

Art students from 6th yr, LCA2, 5th yr and 2nd year along with their teacher Ms Mc Hugh attended the Van Gogh Immersive Experience in Dublin. Students enjoyed the exhibition and got to take part in a Virtual Reality experience.



Leaving Cert Geography Trip to Sligo
Leaving Cert Geography students made a recent trip to Glencar Waterfall and river in Co Sligo to complete their field study. A beautiful location to carry out a variety of tests and measurements on the river. The students really enjoyed the day and found the hands on approach very helpful for a deeper understanding of the rivers processes. Thanks to Mr Mc Cabe and Mr Murtagh for organising thd trip.



Home Economic Trips

Junior Cycle Home Economics classes have been at a sewing workshop in the Craft Cabin in Cavan for a textile-based workshop. They have also taken a trip to Multyfarnham cookery school to take part in a cookery workshop.
